Sometimes There Are Just Other Plans

Earlier this week I thought I had the whole weekend figured out - minor house things on Saturday morning followed by an afternoon at the zoo and an evening relaxing just the three of us and then Sunday morning church (or visit the lobby as we like to call it now since Mr. Butters is not as interested in hearing the service as we are) then Sunday afternoon and evening more relaxing.

Well, things didn't really go as planned, but not really in a bad way though. Soren and I visited the grocery store this morning (I love going to the store with him, just the two of us, there is something about it) and promptly returned home so Mr. Butters could catch his am nap, but I think I missed the napping window because he did not fall asleep until almost noon and then was up after only 25-30 mintues (aren't you tired loveness?). After the nap and lunch, the hubs and I decided it was too cool and windy to visit the zoo (bummer) so I planted some plants in the garden (plants that I savaged from our neighbors that were doing an overhaul of their garden space). Finally got those in, played with the little stinker while daddy worked on the wood trim around the window. I think the window wood trim is what jacked us all up today. Nothing seems to be going right with that project and the hubs is becomeing very irriated. We decided to throw in the towel and just go out to dinner to get away from it all (I must say we were very apprehensive about going out considering our already fried nerves from the window project and flashbacks of our breakfast a few weeks ago). Dinner to our delight and our surprise was very enjoyable and we even managed to stumble upon a new tea store (new to us). It is always so nice to find a non-Starbucks beverage center in town (sorry all you Starbucks lovers). Tonight is actually going according to plan, we are relaxing, well Soren is relaxing in the way of sleeping in which I won't be too far behind.

We will just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. Probably something a little more predictable since I don't have my heart set on going to the zoo.
