What a Day!!!!

Got up this morning at 7:30am and I haven't stopped since. Started the day with a load of Soren's laundry (I love doing his laundry - it just makes me happy and it smells so good when it is all done) and then I had a bowl of cereal, and that is where the craziness started. I got everything ready including Soren's bowl of bran flakes (that is his new thing - when he sees me getting my cereal he is ready for the bran flakes). I brought my cereal in like a do every morning while juggling a small bowl of bran and I spilled my bowl. I was so mad, madder than I should have been and then Soren picked up his bowl of bran and dumped it all over the floor - mad again. I had to ask myself, "why am I feeling so mad about something so lame?" Then I remembered, oh yea, Aunt Flow is on her way in to town. Fortunately, my system is like clockwork, but unfortunately, I loathe certain days on the calendar - like the day I start a new pack of pills because it makes me feel like I have morning sickness for two days and then of course there is always the end of the month - YUCK.

Anyway, so I worked hard to control my emotions the rest of the morning and also provided my husband with the common courteous of letting him know what was going on. Soren went done for his nap like a champ at 11:30am. Duringr his nap I knew I had to go out and check my bees. I got all the stuff ready, got my smoker going just right, got into the hive, and to my delight - everything looked WONDERFUL. So wonderful that I added an additional hive box (aka - 10 new frames to the hive)! Put the hive back together and took off my bee protection garb and then stupid me went to check on one more thing and got stung - yep, that is right! Right on the lip! Needless to say I ran into the house like a mad woman and for some reason turned on the kitchen faucet and stuck my head right under it - you would have thought I was severly burned. I was crying because it scared me so much. Zane got an ice cube for me and calmed me down. Fortunately, the stinger was not stuck in my lip - Praise the Lord. I took a Benadryl and slowly pulled myself together and watched my lip get bigger and bigger and bigger! (in case anyone is worried, I am doing much better now).

To my delight, Soren decided to indulge us in a very long nap so after the bee sting episode I was still able to finish mulching the flower beds and rest on the couch for a few seconds before the Bundle woke up. After lunch and through a few more episodes of me trying to calm my hormones, we made our way to the park so Soren and I could play for a while.

We finished our evening with a trip to the grocery store and a nice glass of chocolate milk. I am done for the day!!!! I hope tomorrow is not quite as taxing in the way of hormones. I miss the days of being pregnant and nursing when I didn't have to be such a sad victim of estrogen and progestoren - 2 years of complete bliss! Next time, always next time!
