Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

We spent another late afternoon today wondering around the zoo. It was more of a therapy venture than a must-see-the-zoo venture. As stated in a previous post the past week had not been our best, but we learned alot (still are learning a lot and we are sort of proud of how well we are doing). Enjoyed a good sermon today at church, and again, learned a lot (actually I was able to apply some of the service to those around me immediately afterwards). Unfortunately, right before we left for the zoo we realized Zane's car had been broken into last night and the theif stole his Ipod that was hidden in the console, but as Zane says "it is just a thing and it can be replaced". We made a police report and come to find out we weren't the only ones in the neighborhood that were hit.

Anyway, back to the zoo. We visited the large flying fox bats - they are eery, but amazing. The lions were really close to the front of their habitat so we got a really nice view of how majestic they are. At the end our visit we headed over the refurbished 1914 carousel. I have been so excited to take Butter's on this. He did really well, but was not too keen on riding a horse so we settled for a seat instead - it was just as much fun. Enjoy the pics!

I just want to note for my journally sake how glad I am to have a wonderful partner in this whole parenting gig - I really don't think I could do it alone. It is nice to know that when one of us just doesn't think we can go any farther, the other one steps in (well even before it gets really bad). I am so grateful for my family.
