No, I am not pregnant - I mean it is official that we have a our little cabin in the woods. It is not an extravagant cabin by any means, but it is one that will be warm and cozy. One that has a stove and refrigerator so we can create yummy food. One that has two bedrooms that will give us a good nights sleep. One that has a lot of land so we can play hard. One that is close to some of the most magnificent creations made by the Big Man himself. One that will give our family much joy as we enjoy spending time together. Here is a picture of our temporary abode.
In a way this trip is a milestone for us - well, more for Zane. A couple of weeks ago Zane was pretty apprehensive about taking a home away from home journey with our little man. Understandably so, I mean he is a toddler and most certainly enjoys doing toddler things. But me on the other hand, is ready to do some much with our little man despite the challenges (I guess I am kind of dreamy like that). Zane was being more a realist and was comfortable in the safe confines of our current environment. In the past couple of weeks though things have changed a bit, probably more on Soren's account. Not sure what it is, but changed. And so I asked again, "how about a little get away this Fall" and to my surprise the answer was "yes". I didn't waste anytime. I didn't want the possibilty to slip away somehow so my search began. Now that I found the right place, it is time to fill in the details (food, activities, baby items, clothes (who knows what the weather will be like), books, etc).
This trip is going to be so fun (rain or shine) and filled with good memories for our little family.
