Last night my Buttercup woke at 2:30am crying. I hate for him to wake if he is having a bad dream or doesn't feel good, but I must admit that I LOVE our cuddle time together. He just sinks against my chest and would let me hold absolutely forever during this time. It is so peaceful to hold my baby in my arms, rock in the chair, and listen to the stillness of the house and his gentle breath. The downside is I know I have to put him back in his bed sometime because a new day beckons and we both need sound sleep for the new day. So back we go into our beds, but not until we have had at least 20 minutes or so of cuddle time. I hate putting Soren back in crib because he cries, but the good thing though, it is literally only for about 1-2 minutes and then the Sand Man gets the best of him.
I hope Mr. Butters has sound sleep tonight, but there is a part of me that will be more than ready to hold him again even in the wee hours of the morning.
