This morning was CRAZY. Daddy got up with Soren for the morning routine (I got up yesterday and we usually take turns on the weekend) and I slept in for about 30 minutes. I decided to take a shower and in the midst of my shower I had an o'crap moment - It was baby/toddler day at church! Let me explain. During the Christmas season there is one Sunday service dedicated to the children. Since Soren is too little to be on stage alone, all the babies and toddlers are introduced with their parents, pranced across the stage, and get their picture taken.
Okay, so back to the saga. I finish up in the shower, eat breakfast quickly while reminding Zane that it was baby/toddler Sunday (big groan from Papa Bear). After breakfast, I ran upstairs and started Soren's bath. Why a bath on this crazy morn? Well, the child hasn't had a bath since Wednesday night (don't judge). After Soren was done, Daddy hopped in the shower while Soren and I finished getting ready. Rush, rush, rush. Thankfully, we all pulled ourselves together rather quickly and looked very nice - AMAZING. But then there was traffic and it seemed like we were going so very slow (or was that Daddy driving slow because he was less than excited about the event - he says it wasn't - okay then!)
We made it to church and I am almost convinced we missed it, but a few people hurried us to the back of the stage and we made it just in time - except without Daddy (he was parking the car) BUMMER! Another family photo opportunity lost. We will get better at this!!
The rest of our Sunday is going well. All is asleep except for Mommy - hopefully I will get a few things done while relaxing - is that possible?
