Evening in the Woods

Tonight was eat out night, but we had NO idea where we wanted to go. I suggested getting together with some friends and the husband agreed. So after a few phone calls and a "Yes, let's get together" on the other end of the line, it was a date with our buddies and their dog pal.

We each got our own dinner at different establishments, but met up at High Banks Metro Park. It was divine! The sunny was still shining and we were about to put yummy food in our bellies. It was so nice to just sit outside with a cool breeze wrapping around our shoulders and enjoy casual conversation and lots of laughs. After we were done munching away we went for walk on the trail and made a quick pit stop to look at the very HIGH river - OMG. Soren was having a blast pushing the stroller, occasionally walking backwards, and just being outside!

*Note: For those of you that may be hiberating still, I am completely stoked about being outside today because it has been raining here for centuries. We endured what seemed to be the longest winter EVER and then a spring full of rain, high winds, thunder, and the occasion tornado warning (complete with sirens). Having a day of NO rain, decent temperatures, and a calm breeze makes me so happy I could pee my pants! Unfortunately, I was so happy about getting us all out and about that I forgot the camera and missed the opportunity for some great pics - boo me! Here is an oldie, but goodie though.
