Our Easter was a delight. I made homemade oatmeal with raisins, cinnamon, and apples. Then it was Easter basket time. Before got started I laid it all out for Soren so he would know the true meaning of Easter and not just a story about a bunny and some eggs. It went something like this...
Me: Soren, Easter is about Jesus, not the bunny.
Soren: Okay.
Me: Jesus died on the cross for us to save us from our sins. And THEN in 3 days he rose from the grave and went to Heaven and left the Holy Spirit to live with us. (A very abbreviated version).
Soren: That's Great!
He was so excited. We haven't had a lot of luck with him reading through his Bible, so I figured let's just try talking about it. What a response.
