A Weekend at the Lake

It is hard to believe that another 4th of July has come and gone. This year was a good one though. We spent the holiday at the Lake like we always do with our dear friends, but this year was really great. Soren has gotten to the age were he is interested in more than just shutting doors. He enjoyed playing in the sand box - A.LOT, running around the cottage with is his new friends, playing with new toys, taking a boat ride (he didn't enjoy it until after he was out of the boat, then he wanted to go again), and sleeping in a new place.

Mommy and Daddy had lots of fun because Soren was having a great time and not shutting the door on everyone. It was also nice that we didn't have to follow him around every second. And he understands what hot is so he stayed away from the smoker and the grill. And he slept like a dream. He was actually happy to go to bed the second night. He was really worn out!

We are really looking forward to next year with the hope that he will be interested even more. Maybe next year he will be a little more adventurous with the food. The food is always so good and it just seems like a missed opportunity to not really try anything!
