Voice Control

A very unwelcome cold brought about some interesting behavior among our small children. My ear and throat were pretty sore so using my voice or any resemblance of a normal voice was not an option. So my kids adapted...rather quickly. It was amazing actually because they really had to listen and focus and the house was pleasantly quiet, meaning not much yelling and craziness. This was a much appreciated break. Zane summed up our past couple weeks by saying that we are living each day and night like it is a full moon. We love our children, but we have got to find a regular babysitter (I digress). Anyway, I think I will use this voice change more often, sick or not. Maybe, just maybe, it will encourage some improved listening skills.
