Okay, my last post was very grim and my nerves were in the frying pan, but I asked for patience (and prayed for strength) and I got it! Our afternoon was much better and the evening was even better than the afternoon. Soren took a good nap (a little over an hour) and Mommy started to gain her sanity back and somehow managed to talk Daddy into cleaning the ceiling fan (bonus!!!). Once Butter Bean woke up from his much needed nap we took a little jaunt out to the yard and he got to feel the grass between his little fingers for the first time. It was so nice out I could not pass up the opportunity (thanks Daddy for such a great suggestion).
After "yard time" Soren played for a bit, but started to get fussy again and looked very tired (I can't wait for this darn cold to go away so he can get all of his energy back) so after his afternoon bottle we chilled for a while in front of the TV and by 4:00pm he was out like a light. Soooo....Mommy and Daddy had an earlier dinner and believe it or not we actually sat on the couch and talked for about 30 minutes - uninterupted and without a babysitter.
Afer another great nap and dandy dinner, Daddy left to hang out with a friend and Soren and I took a road trip to Starbucks and meandered through a few streets looking at houses - very pleasant. Bath time was a success and now it is bedtime again. Less whining and more smiles this evening - that is what we like!!!
