Alas, the work week is over - it sure was a long one. Got home a little early today because guess what, I got to work earlier. The hubs was already making dinner when I got home and my little sweet cheeks was sawing logs so I got a few minutes to catch my breath when I got in the door. We had a nice dinner - homemade burritos. We decided to get out the house for a while and took a drive down to Grandview for a stroll. The hubs had one other stop in mind - Jeni's ice cream. For those of you that are unaware of this greatness or not as fortunate to have Jeni's in your backyard, it is one of the best ice cream establishments on the planet. Not only are all the ingredients that go into the ice cream locally purchased, they are blended in the most superb way that it makes other ice cream look average. After our little pit stop, we took a nice long stroll down Grandview Avenue. It was so nice to walk underneath the crabapple trees and smell the wonderfully blooming lilacs. Soren had a nice time too - I think it helped get him out of his funk - yea for baby defunking! Now we are home and I think I am going to bed EARLY. Hoping for sunshine tomorrow so we can head off to the zoo!!
