The Joy of Bees
Today was bee day. Yes, that is right, I am a beekeeper for those of you that did not know. Last year I lost my hive because I had a drone-laying queen (she was producing only male bees and none of the good old-fashioned female worker bees - why do women have to do all the work - just kidding). Anyway, we drove down to Canal Winchester this afternoon to get the said bees so we could put them this evening. Soren was not to interested in the endless number of bees packages (yes, they are in packages, don't worry, I am not exposing my precious bean to the dangers of bee life - not yet anyway). Soren was interested in the absolutely beautiful hens and the crazy donkey my bee friends had on their farm. Soren loves animals so much I think it is already in his blood to major in science - woohoo - another scientist in the family. Well, we, I mean me and the hubs are off to hiving our new friends while our little angel catches his own buzz, I mean zzzzzz's.
