Well, it was BUSY Monday. I considered calling in 5 times today and one of those included when I was already on the highway, but my strong work ethic kicked in and I made it to work, and believe it or not, got a lot done. I got home long enough to feed Mr. Butters a bowl of veggies and then I had to make a mad dash to the dentist. Zane and I swapped places (I came home and he went to the dentist), but when I was home I had to make dinner leaving very little time for fun with my babe. I hate it when days are just too busy to chill with the loves of your life. Once the hubs got home we had dinner together which was very nice. Soren was very interested in his meal and laughing with us. That is his new thing. Once we start laughing about something he starts laughing too - what a ham! Spent some time in the tub, I mean Soren did, enjoyed the nightly dose of milk, then it was off to bed, but first we brushed the teeth. Every night now, for the past 2 months we have been brushing Soren's teeth (yes, I know we should have started this routine earlier) - it has been quite the challenge! We use the Stage 1 toothbrush from Oral-B and a wash cloth. Soren will let us do the back teeth/gums with little to no fuss, but the front teeth are a totally different story. Zane holds him down and I get in there will the toothbrush and wash cloth. I asked the dentist today if there was something we were missing, why was this sooo darn difficult? She gave us two options: 1)the restraint method - those teeth need to cleaned off or 2): let Soren play with the brush in the bath tub. I am going for both options. We put his old brush in the tub and play games about brushing the teeth and then right before bed we unveiled the new toothbrush and did the "restraint" method. Soren did much better tonight - hardly any fuss at all - I hope we are on to something good.
Hoping for more quantity time tomorrow night!
