WOW - I can't believe I haven't posted since Tuesday - oops! Let me do a little recap. Thursday was a really good day. I got out of a meeting a little early (but too late to drive back to work) so I captured the moment, came home to pick up my babe (daddy had to get some work done), and off we were to the zoo. It was so fun watching little Butters' reaction again and again to all the wonderful animals (I think the aquarium is his favorite - at least this time) and just spending time together. Like I have said in my previous posts, I am obessed with the zoo, so it was really nice to have an unexpected visit.
Friday was ho-hum. I got a lot done at work, but that was about it.
Saturday, today, we had a small melt down this morning with nap time. Soren hasn't really been interested in the morning nap even though he continues to rub his eyes and yawn so it was a little bit of a fight. Thankfully, Daddy stepped in and made the world right again and Soren took a hour nap - praise the Lord. After nappies and lunch, we made a trek to Target (believe it or not, I behaved myself and bought only what was on my list plus 2 pairs of undies - what, they were cute).
This evening Soren got to visit his lifetime buddy, Lola, while Mommy and Daddy helped our friends with a charity fundraiser, Starfish Alliance. This charity is awesome. It helps children that have been abandoned. One of the projects of the charity is to support the Royal Family Kids Camp that sends several children to a spirit-filled camp for one week during the summer. It is so awesome to see something so positive in these little ones' lives when so much of their lives has been filled with sadness. Praying that God will do more and more through this charity and others.
Tomorrow we are off to church. Hope that Soren does well since his bedtime schedule was off by one hour tonight. We shall see.
Time for bed for me and hopefully more frequest posts to follow.
