Am I Lazy or Is Time Just Moving Faster Than I Can Think?

Can't believe it has been almost a week since I posted on my darling blog - sorry little blog. Life has been normal (thankfully, I think). Going to work and doing the nightly routine during the week. Alas, the weekend is here again, and a long one for that matter - thanks to all the dedicated soliders out there that we get to take time out to remember their great service!

Spending most of our weekend at home - chillin! Went to the zoo early this morning (actually made it out of the house at 9:15am), came home to a very non-sleepy baby so we all had lunch together. Very nice I might say. We are usually a sucker for eating out on the weekends especially we can't think of something within a couple of minutes to fix at home (we are working on this). We managed to come up with the idea to make tuna fish sandwichs (it is amazing how something so simple can seem so profound). Soren was totally into his food today. He had an egg, a little bit of ham, and then some tuna fish on rye bread followed by a small bowl of applesauce - I think he might be growing again.

Finally around 2:00pm Soren took a nap after being lulled o'so tenderly in his chair (I don't know what we are going to do when he gets too big for this thing - oh well, he loves it right now). Daddy took over baby monitoring while I made a short jaunt to Target. I went with a list this time. I swear that store sucks you in for all you've got. I stuck to list with the exception of two shirts for Mr. Butters. Very cute shirts I might add. Returned home and got a few more things done, including relaxing on the couch for about 10 minutes.

After our precious bean awoke from his slumber we played for a while, ate some more food, and then Mommy took a little nap. I just couldn't take it anymore - my eyelids felt like lead weights. It was a great nap and ended with a wonderful little peapod giggling as Daddy placed him on our bed. Soren LOVES our bed. He throws himself into the pillows and then rolls all around giggly like crazy. I love the time we spend here. When I see him playing on the bed I think to myself, how awesome it must be to be so small and get to play on a giant bed - giant to him anyway - it is only a queen size. It sort of made me realize how when you are little everything seems so big and as an adult it seems to regular or small. I love trying to look at life through his eyes. It is fun to crouch down to his level and see what everything looks like, feels like, smells like.

It is now 10:30pm and my sweet pea has been sleeping for little over an hour. I think it is time I joined him. Night.
