Daddy's Birthday Weekend

WOW - this has been a full weekend. I sure would like another day off to just relax, but I guess I will have to wait 5 more days for that. Anyway, so this is how it went...

Friday plans changed. We were originally schedule to have dinner with Zane's family, but his mom wasn't really feeling well so they canceled. Zane and I decided to give a new Indian restaurant a go. After a rough order process, we ended up with a fantastic feast and will definitely be going back. Soren was not too interested in trying anything, not even the bread, but I think he was full. After dinner I was unbelieveably full so I decided to do a few house chores to work off the food coma and then Zane and I settled in to watch "Where the Wild Things Are". I didn't make it through the whole thing so I have to catch up.

Saturday we spent a glorious morning at the Clintonville Farmer's Market. We found some nice heirloom tomato plants, cup of half caf coffee, some peppered bacon, and several beautiful gardens. No rain, no hot weather, and a no fuss baby - BLISS.

Soren took a nice long nap allowing me some time to get the garden planted, well, most of it. Spent the rest of the afternoon playing and getting ready for the birthday party.

Here are few pictures of the birthday. It was a little stressful, but better than going to a restaurant. I sort of had adult conversation for about 4 minutes. Soren had a good time and became obsessed with his buddy's Red Coupe (there was a small hair-pulling incident where his buddy was the victim - the horror, it was sort of embrassing. I am sure it won't be the last time, but hopefully we can start to mitigate such situations). Enjoy the pictures.

Sunday we went to church. Soren was an ANGEL! He played on the floor for a while (making in through the worship service, announcements, and the start of the service). He made his point that he was done so we went out and played in the lobby. The bonus was we even went the grocery store immediately after church (it was a very fast trip though, it included a short run down the aisle with Daddy). After lunch, Soren and Daddy napped and Mommy finished the garden. Now I am sitting - Praise the Lord.

Looking forward to more family fun this week and 500 "hi"s from little bit every time we meet even if it when I come downstairs from the bathroom.
