Mommy sent Daddy away to Cedar Point today for a little get away with the guys. Soren spent his morning with a couple of friends playing in a fountain, swinging, cuddling - you name it. I got off work early and picked him up for lunch and it has been fun ever since. Soren did a great job eating today (it is nice when he shows interest in what you just made him) and he took a nice little nap. I thought about joining him since I was up early today, but I decided the bathroom sink, tub, and toilet were calling my name along with a few loads of laundry, and of course, the kitchen...always the kitchen.
After a delightful dinner with Mr. Butters (I actually for got to eat dinner tonight, well, unless you count the couple bites I had off Soren's plate) we chilled for a bit and then got ready for swim class. I always think I have more time to get ready and get going than I really do. I think Soren knows this already. At 5:20pm he was very interested in going upstairs. I thought it was too early did not really want to go upstairs and play with the doors and the buttons on the radio for 10 or 15minutes, but I caved and humored him anyway. I started to get ready and then got him ready and by the time we were done it was just about time to leave - he is such a smarty pants.
Swim class was a lot of fun. When we first walked into the pool area Soren had that face like "Not this again", but once we got in the water and started with the activities he didn't think it was such a bad idea. Soren did much better with the back float position and he LOVED playing in the water sprayers! Looking forward to next Tuesday. After swim class he came home and had a good peanut butter snack - it was like the Jif commercial - what a treasured moment.
Now my little bit is sawing logs and I am typing this post. I think I will head to bed and let Daddy tuck me in when he gets home. Good night.
