About 2:00pm the hubby called at work and asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo tonight - HELLO, I love the zoo, definitely want to go. To make things even better he called later and asked if I wanted to go out to eat - extra bonus.
When I got home, Soren had a few snacks (because you never know if he is going to eat while we are out) and then off we went. We spent a little longer at Chick Fil-A then we wanted, but that's okay - it was fun hanging out and chatting. We got to the zoo around 6:45pm and they close at 7:00pm, but we made it in the doors (note: they don't kick you out until around 7:15pm-7:30pm). We saw the polar bears, reindeer, moose, and wolves. It was so nice to get out in the nice weather. The past couple weeks have been like living oven with a blast of hot steam coming out at you - it was great to have the break.
Just thought I'd share our wonderful night together - and so unexpected!
I visited the zoo when I was in Columbus but that was some time in feb .....i think the Polar bears had not yet arrived then........but my fav animal in the zoo was the 'Okapi' and ofcourse the hanging bats were scary.......and I saw them pee........ewwwwwwww!
ReplyDeleteWow - I haven't seen that yet - sounds kind of gross, but cool at the same time. Do you live in Ohio? The polar bears are awesome.
