Night Out with Jeni

After a wonderful dinner prepared by Zane himself (grilled trout, grilled zucchini, and roasted red potatoes with chives (fixed on the grill) we ventured over to Jeni's ice cream for a delightful treat. What a yummy yum yum in this crazy heat! We shared an ice cream "study" - 4 half scoops of ice cream. I picked Butter Almond Brittle and Kona Stout and Zane went with Apricot and Backyard Mint - Soren liked it all (except he did not get any of the Kona Stout).

We ate our ice cream indoors this time. There was enough space for Soren's stroller and the two of us which was perfect because we didn't want our treat to melt in this August heat. Soren enjoyed his ice cream and watching the little boy next to us that was about 2.5 or 3 years. Every noise the little boy made Soren imitated - like, the little boy thought it was really funny to fake cough so Soren started fake coughing, or laughing, or whatever. His little face was so intent on watch this little boy and then doing whatever he did. It truly was a "monkey see, monkey do" moment.
