This weekend was rather lovely. Friday Soren and I hung out because Daddy really needed a break (off to the movies he went). Saturday we had breakfast out and then put up part of the Christmas tree. We only did lights right now because Soren was very hands on so we thought we would take it slow so we didn't have to say "no"
fifty million a few times and risk everything getting broken at once. Everyone got naps and then we were off to childcare at the church. Our church holds an annual production of the The Gospel According to Scrooge and it takes a lot of people to make it all happen - this was our way of helping. We spent 4 hours in one room with 11 kids ages 3-6 years old. We knew it would be an exhausting night, but it turned out better than expected. The kids pretty much entertained themselves and we only had to give 2 time outs. Soren had a blast! We got home around 10:00pm and Soren was asleep by 10:30pm - late, but he did pretty well.
Sunday, well, we all slept in. The nice bonus of staying out late. The day was pretty relaxing. Church and lunch and then a nap for Butter Cup. It was nice for me to get some odds and ends done around the house - you know, the little things that build up and you think are never going to get to them. What a great feeling.
I know this post is not too interesting for readers, but it was very easy and relaxing weekend for us!
