Soren and Daddy headed back to the peditrician today. Soren still has not been able to crack his fever since Monday despite our efforts with lots of liquids, Tylenol, extra sleep, and endless episodes of Curious George so we thought we needed a little more intervention.
As it turns out our sweet little boy has a double ear infection and viral pneumonia. Both of these areas were check out thoroughly on Monday, but those pesky little bacteria and viruses decided to take up residence and wreck havoc on our little man - poor thing. So McButters is now on Amoxicillin and is expected to be "signficantly" better by Monday or we go see our friends again at the pediatrician's office. I am hoping things will go well.
As for me, I am back at work. I let go of my reigns temporarily and let Daddy take our Bean to the docs because I really needed to get back to work after a 4 day hiatus and Daddy felt like I didn't trust him to take care of the "sick" situation. So as good wife and Mommy, I let Daddy take him, but not without a list of questions and my cell phone at the ready just in case there was a question or two. Daddy did a great job and actually had questions similar to mine. When I called home a couple of hours ago (I would call more, but the hubs hates that), Daddy managed to get Soren to eat 3 strawberries - WOW! This was great considering his appetite has been like a bird lately - a very small bird.
Looking forward to quittin' time so I can go home and see my angels, eat some pizza, and go to bed - I. AM. TIRED!
