Grand Accomplishments for One Saturday

So the storm seems to be settling and we are starting to see the silver lining. Here are our accomplishments for this blessed Saturday.

1) Soren's fever broke last night and he is maintaining a temperature of 98.4-98.4, but we are continuing with the Tylenol because of the ear infection - the infection, probably the drainage, seems to bother him a little.

2) Daddy fixed the dishwasher. This actually happened last night, but who cares. The top rack is moving with grace, the clips fit one of the dish holders on the bottom rack, and the seal has been thoroughly cleaned (and with much labor) and now the dishwasher no longer has a small leak - Go, Go Daddy!!!

3) I found mondorific deals at OshGosh B'Gosh today. The highlight was buying a coat for Soren for next year (actually, maybe the year after next) for only $7.87 when it was originally $55.00 - S.C.O.R.E. I came out with a heaping, I mean heaping, bag of clothes, including some for my nieces and only spent $40!!!!! Everything I bought was on clearance and the clearance rack was an additional 30% and then I had a 25% my entire purchase after that. Let me tell you, when you leave the store with three pairs of pjs for only $1.57 each and boat load of other stuff you feel pretty good. Thanks to my Mom for encouraging me to get out of the house when she did. Much later and I might have missed out.

4) Soren is eating better. Tonight he finished the last half of his waffle and strawberries, had 4 spoonfuls of yogurt, 2.5 big spoonfuls of spaghetti with meat sauce, half a roll, and little scoop of ice cream. Before bed he had a cup of milk. I am a little obsessed with his food intake (I have been since birth when he lost more than 10% of his birth weight). I will be packing on the calories for this little guy. Healthy food, but you can almost bet he will be getting dessert every night for a while. I am sure he will be really upset about that.

5) I have a very amazing and loving husband. He knows I am obsessive at times and freak out occassionally, but he tries to humor me and calm me when needed. And this week, I needed it!

Time for some hot chocolate and a craft. Night.
