What a Great Week!

Hello - I am still blogging, I just got a little out of my routine because Zane was on spring break last week. It was such a nice week having him home all the time even though I was at work during the day. He was actually able to do things at night instead of working all the time.

I took Friday off so our weekend started Thursday evening. Thursday we went to one of our favorite spots, Northstar Cafe, and had a cookie and coffee. Soren had extra fun because not only was he enjoying a delightful cookie, but we also brought some of his cars with us and we raced them across the concrete table. It was a lot of fun!

Friday we got up, got ready, and went to COSI - Center of Science and Industry. We became members - why not, after two visits the membership pays for itself. Soren had a blast. They have an AWESOME splash table complete with little raincoats, lots of things to climb, and toys to push and ride on. There are a lot of other things to do in the toddler area, but these were the highlights for Soren. We did manage to leave the toddler area and visit some of the more grown up areas, including a really nice gecko exhibit. I am not a huge reptile fan, but the geckos were really cool. We completed our venture with a trip to Chick Fil-A and then enjoyed a nice nap!

Saturday we enjoyed a trip to the gym and Soren went to the play room. Going to the gym is sort of like a date for me and Zane. We get to work out together and talk while Soren plays. It is only one hour, but it is more than we have ever had since Soren has been born - at least something on a regular basis. After lunch, we made a quick trip to Whole Foods. I love this store, but it was way too busy this Saturday

***Saturday Funny***

Zane and I have been trying to explain to Soren that we don't pick our nose CONSTANTLY. In our recent conversation/lecture about this, Zane developed the acronym - DPYN - "Don't pick your nose". Then to be funny said, DPYB - "Don't pick your butt". I thought it was funny so I repeated it in front of Soren - big mistake. Within seconds, Soren said "Don't pick your butt". Not what I wanted my little 2 year old to say, but it was hiliarious!

Sunday we went to church then Zane spent the afternoon preparing for his class and Soren and I played until nap time. While Soren slept I managed to fight off my sleepiness and mop the floors, clean some baseboards, and laying more tiles in the basement bathroom - only one tile left to go. I would have finished the last one, but my thumb had had enough from all the cutting so I will finish it this week sometime.

This weekend was so nice. It seems like my weekends go so fast that I hardly have time to enjoy them, but this weekend I thoroughly enjoyed!!!! Looking forward to Friday.
