The Blueberry Patch

Today was the day I have been looking forward to since the first of July. Well, actually since the first of May. We finally made our way to the u-pick blueberry patch in Mansfield, Ohio. Just to illustrate that I am little nuts about summer and all it has to offer, we drove almost an hour to pick 4lbs of blue fruit. It was a delight! The hubs was glad to come along, but wasn't quite as an enthusiatic about the adventure - until we got there! Then he thanked me for making him do things like this because they really are a lot of fun.

Soren had just as much fun as we did. Not only did he stuff his face full of blueberries, but he enjoyed playing among the blueberry bushes and pretending that the low-hanging branches were doors for him to go in and out of - very cute and entertaining.

The weather was a little warm, but not nearly as hot as it has been and there was a nice breeze. A perfect day!

Our mission.

We all did pretty good for beginners.

 Having so much fun!

 Everything is a door.

I gave up on the bucket and just used my shirt. Soren loved the idea and
kept trying to put blueberries on his belly - such perception!

Our bounty.
