Not So Good Days

Today was not the day we really had planned.

Soren started with a fever yesterday and it has carried over into today. I felt so bad for him. When we got up this morning he had that "I don't feel good" look with dry lips, a warm body, and glassy eyes. We tried to stay on the couch most of the day. He enjoyed laying on a pillow with blankies and watching television almost all the live long day (a rarity in our home). He ate breakfast and lunch, but hardly anything for dinner to speak of. I worked in some calories though with a morning snack of two Oreos and afternoon snack of chocolate ice cream (another rarity - two desserts in one day). I called the doctor twice, but I think I will be calling again in the morning to take him in if he still looks the same. Children's Tylenol sure goes fast. Good thing I bought two bottles at the store last time.

Soren doesn't get sick often, but it breaks our hearts when he does. Hoping he feels much better tomorrow.
