The weather in Ohio has been o' so very hot this week. Lots of heat advisories, sweat, and stinkiness. To add more sweat to our agenda today, I thought it would be great to take a trip to the Franklin Park Conservatory to see the butterfly exhibit. And why not! I had a Groupon and it was going to expire
at the end of August very soon. As you may know from previous posts or just from hanging out with me, if I have a day off it is rarely on my agenda to just sit at home and do nothing. I am not a 'do nothing' type of girl. If I watch television and am also reading a book or folding laundry - something to keep me busy. If there is something to do I try to do it. It is sort of a blessing and a curse.
So today we were off to the Conservatory. My husband, the sweet man that he is, already knew what was in store for us. I didn't. I thought it would be just a great place to visit. And it was, all except for the fact that we totally immersed ourselves in the Pacifc Island Tropical Forest, the African Rainforest, and finally the Desert. HOLY HOT! I actually had sweat running down the back of my arm - I didn't even know I had sweat glands back there!
Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful and amazing to see, just not on a day were the heat index was already over 100 degrees outside while you are running through a wet, glass capsule chasing a toddler!
Get me outta here!
