We celebrated my 3?th birthday a few weeks ago. It was a good day. While I didn't get the luxury of taking the day off, my morning was filled with a big "Happy Birthday" from my best two guys, a card, and lots of hugs. My office space was decorated and polished off with an ice cream cake, a couple little gifts and bag of Tootsie Rolls (which really came in handy considering it was heavy submission week). When I got home, my honey greeted me with a delicious, homemade carrot cake (one of my favorites) and a new bottle of perfume. The cake was so good. I mean, seriously, we are not talking about a wimpy cake. This one had all the essentials - lots of fresh carrots, raisins, walnuts, and homemade cream cheese icing!!! DELISH!
While my husband had to go to work, my little bit and I hung out and had a relaxing evening at home (and sang Happy Birthday to everyone a few times)! It was a delightful day and not one to be celebrated alone - birthdays have become a family affair.
