A few weeks ago we moved Soren into his Big Boy Bed! We considered doing it earlier, but he wasn't a crib climber, Zane wasn't keen on any ideas of him not staying in his bed and thus not going to sleep, and we were getting ready to move into a new house so having a new bed would just be a little too much - we were all about sticking to what was familiar for Soren for the time being.
A time allowed, we finally made our first trek to Ikea and bought "the bed" and a few months later we bought the mattress and were ready to make the big move. It was a little sad, I have to admit, it was a bittersweet transition. I mean, Soren used to be so very little that we couldn't imagine placing him in such a big crib and now he was moving him into a full size adult bed, but we were also so excited for him (and it gave us a nice place to sit and snuggle while we read stories).
