We are back from Soren's doctor's appointment. He weighs 23 lb. and 8 oz (25%) and is 32 inches long (60%) and his brain is pretty big too! The doctor said he looks good - just as I had thought. He got 3 vaccines - I only thought he would get 2, but there was a booster for the Prevnar so we went with that along with the DTAP and his first Hepatitis A. The best news Soren got was that he doesn't have to go back to the doctor for 6 months. Mommy is a little sad though - just another sign that he is getting bigger.
I got him a new stuffed raccoon for his bravery, but he was more interested in holding his vaccine record - oh well, that is why haven't invested a lot of money in toys that and the fact that my sister has provided us with a lifetime supply. Thanks Mandy!
After Soren's visit we headed over to a local spice store in Westerville and got some Ghost Chiles for a friend - these are suppose to be the hottest peppers in the world. I guess so since they gave us plastic gloves for handling them. We also splurge on a bottle of truffle oil - that should make for some yummy treats. To complete our trip, we stopped off at Graeter's for a couple of junior ice cream scoops. Soren was happy - we tried Cookies and Cream this time and Daddy got Mint Chip - delicious!
We are home and now everyone is resting except for me. I think I will do some laundry and finish watching Baby Boom - I love that movie.
