First Kiss

Well, I must admit, I didn't really feel like writing anything in my blog tonight because I have been on a rampage to get things done around the house (trying to make the week a little easier, but does scrubbing the kitchen cabinets make it easier or just give me a happy, clean feeling?), but something wonderful happened tonight around 9:00pm - I got my first real, honest-to-goodness kiss from my little man. It was the sweetest thing ever. And, of course, I got really giddy and had tears in my eyes. Soren loved my reaction so he did it multiple times and each time was wonderful. It sort of reminds me when we got our first smile. You put all this work into one little being and love him so much, but you don't always get the response. Well, that little smile did it several months ago and tonight it happened again. True love!

I love the fact that Soren has done almost all of his big firsts when Zane and I are together so we both get to see it first hand. That was one of my fears of being a working Mommy - I was afraid I would miss the "firsts", but this little squirt made sure to have the perfect audience - Thanks Pumpkin.

Well, I am off to get some laundry done and then get in bed - it is an early day tomorrow.
