Trying to Breath

Literally! I was bequeathed a wondeful cold this week by my ever so darling son. To make him even more darling he has decided that this would be a great week to turn into the perfect two year old and throw caution to the wind when it comes to listening. Oh my, oh my!!

Hitting is the name of the game these days and being ever so independent. It is amazing the feelings that stir in you when you are being hit on mulitple occasions and hitting back is not an option (what kind of example would that set). Stretching our wings to be more independent is a good thing, but the whining and not listening that sometimes goes with it is less than ideal, especially when it seems to be never ending. Soren is working on sitting in a big boy seat at the table which is great, but he is not quite tall enough so he gets really wiggly after a while making it difficult to focus on the task at hand. We are working on it, but going back and forth between seats.

Also on the horizon is learning to use the potty. Soren went pee-pee in the potty yesterday. It took about 10 mintues of just playing to get there, but we got there and we were excited (sort of). Me, being the Mommy that I am, was a little sad. My little man is getting bigger and bigger and the once ever so small, dependent baby is disappearing more and more each day (he is still my baby, the physical appearance is changing so very quickly).

While all these phases can fry your very last nerve, I still miss him when he goes to sleep and can't wait to see his adorable little face every single morning.

Night.
