A little delayed....

This week has been full. Soren and I spent all day Monday together enjoying each others company while Daddy was at work. Tuesday it was back to work for me, but Soren had big plans for him and Daddy. Daddy was upstairs getting ready and Soren was downstairs playing with his new favorite toy, a plastic measuring cup, a spoon, and sippy cup full of water. "Stir, stir, stir" Soren says. While Daddy was upstairs Soren thought he would spice it up a little bit, or a lot. He shook, shook, shook black pepper everywhere on the kitchen table and then when things got to messy brought his gifts into the living room. Daddy came down and found this wonderful creation and little boy with black pepper smeared all over his wet shirt too. Needless to say, this one is going down in the books as the first "big mess". It was so bad that Daddy had to bring out Fred, the vacuum. Poor Daddy.

Wednesday was quiet, but by Thursday, I got one of those phone calls from Daddy at work saying he was D.O.N.E. Soren had given a good run for his money and he couldn't take any more. Good thing Daddy had an outing for art work that evening. I told him to take Friday night off as well.

Well, here we are on Friday. I certainly counted my blessings today. As I was finishing getting ready for work Soren started heading downstairs ahead of me. I got about half way down the stairs when suddenly I heard a thud and turned around and he was rolling down the stairs. I don't think I have even moved down a set of stairs so fast in my life. He is OKAY, but it sure was scary for all us. I held him for a few minutes and then he was ansy to get off my lap and go play with his cars. I checked him from head to toe and thankfully I didn't see a mark and he was bopping around like normal. Praise Jesus!

Later in the morning Daddy took Soren to get some follow-up blood work done. Soren was such an angel. Only one tear and then he was fine. What a champ! Mommy sure could take a few lessons from him. To help make a yucky day better, Soren enjoyed a nice helping of ice cream after dinner and got to stay up an extra hour while he visited with friends.

Night.
