It is amazing what little children can show you and how much they can accomplish. Sunday evening, after spending the both Saturday and Sunday afternoons with one of our dear friends and her two nephews, we learned that one of the little boys had commited their life to Christ. What a blessing!
In the midst of our conversation with our friend she noted that our son had a made an impression in their lives through his boldness in prayer. Before every meal, we ask our son to help say Grace. He has become so eager that now he has to be the one to say a prayer and we are say it with him. Soren's boldness in prayer showed both little boys that it is okay to pray, especially in public.
Hearing how our son at 3 years of age had had an impact on two older boys was so amazing to my husband and I and so encouraging. If a three year can be so bold and make such a mark, then how much more can I do, can we do as adults?
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Matthew 5:13-15
