The Return of the Best Kind

This past weekend was a dream.

Friday evening we didn't do much except catch up on a few things like laundry and rest. We did manage to savor a little bit of a late night after the wee one went to bed. It is so nice to sit outside and listen to all the sounds - I love that about summer.

Saturday morning we were responsible for about two hours as we cleaned up the garden at the condo we are working on renting and visited the paint store to try yet again to pick out a paint color for the kitchen (without much luck I might add). But after that, we were off to the races to do w.h.a.t.e.v.e.r we wanted. We buzzed around a few neighborhoods looking for garage sales and stopped at a massive garage sale being held to raise money for boy scouts. I didn't find much except for a couple little jigsaw puzzles for my nieces, but the hubby hit the big one with a Victor Vasarely print. I wasn't too crazy about it, but he liked it and had a good feeling so he bought it for $7.00. After our sale rummaging, we headed to lunch and ate outside. The weather here has been amazing. Afterwards we strolled an outdoor mall and then headed home for naps! Love the weekend naps. Just as I was about to doze off, the hubby came dashing in our room to let me know his garage sale find was a real artist print and was valued at $200-$400. I was so happy for him. The rest of our evening was low key complete with a visit from some of friends.

Sunday morning Soren and I made pancakes, bacon, and eggs. It was pretty tasty. Shortly after breakfast we headed to church enjoyed a terrific service. We really like our church. After lunch, it was nap time again! We polished our day with a honey harvest from the hive (complete with a bee sting for Zane - boo!), but lots of yummy golden goodness!

It was so nice to have a relaxing weekend for a change. Hope the next one is even better.
